Kind of a sea chanty, kind of a lullaby, kind of a horror movie without pictures--Away is a Halloween carol. It owes stylistic debts to a few great local groups I've tried out for: Xyra of Verborgen and Scott from Blackgrass both bite into similar veins. It also owes a little bit to the synthy cover versions of top forty songs they used to play at restaurants like Lans or Pillin. This is my first midi-assisted recording. I have to say I'm impressed with the future.
