There's a website called Brooklyn Vegan that talks so much about NPR's streaming of the new Arcade Fire album than when you google "NPR arcade fire" you get Brooklyn Vegan's review of the new album, as heard on NPR. They did provide a helpful link, but they also attracted a ton of crazy commenters who put hours of heartfelt thought into explaining why they weren't going to spend an hour listening to this album. I collected some of the best bon mots from this website, and threw them together with another ludicrous music critic. I think they all sort of work together.

beneath the influences
that pressed upon it
from outside and above
