This song is offered in self-criticism, naturally, but also just as much in hopes of instigating dialogue about whether the key ingredient to a successful, long-term relationship is really intense attraction as so many popular songs argue so cogently or whether in fact the key ingredient isn't just freedom from the overgeneralization of and consequent/subsequent obsession with physical beauty that many of the same popular songs unfortunately imply, especially when considered in aggregate. Also, I heard there was an opening for Morrissey's old gig.
lyrics
Dm F Em C
I used to get jealous of my girlfriend's friends who were men
But the trouble with jealousy is once you start it never ends
it never ends
Because I think I know at least a hundred beautiful women.
So I'm sure every woman knows a hundred beautiful men
maybe times ten
I still get jealous of my girlfriend's friends who are men
But the trouble with jealousy is once you start it never ends
it never ends
Because I think I know at least a hundred beautiful women.
So I'm sure every woman knows a hundred beautiful men
maybe times ten
I'm scared I'll always get jealous of my girlfriend's friends who are men
Because the trouble with jealousy is once you start it never ends
it never ends
Because I think I know at least a hundred beautiful women.
So I'm sure every woman knows a hundred beautiful men
maybe times ten
